About My Art

I am an abstract artist working primarily with layered, textural surfaces. My practice focuses on material experimentation and slow, physical processes, using depth, restraint, and repetition to build quiet but immersive compositions. Texture is not decorative in my work; it functions as structure, record, and surface memory.

The Abyssal collection explores depth, pressure, and the unseen, drawing from oceanic and geological references. These works emphasize darkness, compression, and subtle variation, inviting close viewing rather than immediate impact.

In contrast, my in-progress River collection examines movement, erosion, and flow, allowing the surface to remain more open and rhythmic while still grounded in material weight.

Across both bodies of work, I am interested in how abstract surfaces can hold time, process, and environment, creating pieces that feel contemplative and materially present within a space.
